Former Georgia QB Aaron Murray’s stint with the Los Angeles Rams didn’t last very long.
After signing with the team on March 23, Murray was waived on Thursday, according to the Los Angeles Times.
Murray is the SEC’s all-time passing leader, throwing for 13,166 yards during his Georgia career, which lasted from 2010 to 2013.
He was a fifth-round pick by the Kansas City Chiefs in the 2014 NFL Draft and spent two years on their active roster. He then moved on to the Arizona Cardinals’ and Philadelphia Eagles’ practice squads in 2016, but has still never appeared in a regular-season NFL game.
Currently, the only quarterbacks on the Rams’ roster are 2016 No. 1 overall pick Jared Goff and backup Sean Mannion.
Whether this is the end of Murray’s NFL career or not remains to be seen, but the former Bulldog hasn’t been able to make an impact at any of his four stops thus far.
