Former LSU OC Matt Canada is currently looking for another coaching job.

Canada and LSU split ways following the Tigers’ 21-17 Citrus Bowl loss to the Notre Dame Fighting Irish, and he lasted just one season under Ed Orgeron as the play caller. It was somewhat of an odd marriage from the beginning, and the two never seemed to be on the same page.

Yahoo! Sports’ college football insider Pete Thamel reported Sunday night that Canada is a strong candidate to land at Maryland under DJ Durkin. The Terrapins’ former OC Walt Bell left for the same position at Florida State under new head coach Willie Taggart.

LSU promoted Steve Ensminger as its full-time OC.
