Pernell McPhee has been in the NFL for seven seasons now, playing for the Baltimore Ravens for four years and the Chicago Bears for three.
Now, though, he’s on the move following a couple of injury-plagued seasons. The former Mississippi State star will head to the NFC East, where he’ll join the Washington Redskins.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported the news on Monday afternoon, as you can see in the tweet below:
Washington announced it signed free agent linebacker Pernell McPhee.

In 96 career games (23 starts), McPhee has 31 sacks and 139 tackles. He also has an interception and a fumble recovery.
McPhee has been a pass-rush specialist in the past, and that’s likely the role he’ll play on Washington’s defense as well.
