This is an interesting development related to the ongoing investigation at Ohio State.
College football reporter Brett McMurphy noted on Tuesday that former Ohio State wide receivers coach Zach Smith received the smallest raise of his coaching career in 2015, the same year that he was investigated for allegedly abusing his ex-wife.
Smith received a raise of $6,600 in 2015, according to McMurphy. He received raises of $50,000 the year before and $73,400 the year after. That means he got a 3-percent raise in 2015, sandwiched between raises of 29 and 32 percent.
Former Ohio State WR coach Zach Smith's annual pay raise in 2015, the year immediately after he was investigated for domestic violence was only $6,600. The year before that his raise was $50,000; the year after that his raise was $73,400 https://t.co/fcxi8GKyeI

Buckeyes coach Urban Meyer has claimed that he was unaware of these allegations made against Smith, who has denied abusing his wife despite reports claiming the contrary.
Ohio State’s investigation began on Sunday, and the university has stated that it should take about 14 days.
It will be interesting to see what other news and reports are released about Smith, Meyer and the entire situation as the investigation continues.
