Rodriguez has coached all over the country in recent years. He’s been the head man at West Virginia, Michigan and Arizona and was most recently the offensive coordinator at Ole Miss. He’s also spent time as an assistant at Clemson and Tulane in his coaching career.
Rodriguez was ousted at Arizona following an investigation into sexual harassment claims.
ULM hired Terry Bowden earlier this offseason. He replaces Matt Viator, who went 19-39 in five seasons with the Warhawks.
Bowden, 64, spent last season at Clemson as a graduate assistant but was previously the head coach at Akron for nine seasons.
If Rodriguez does end up taking the job, he’ll have his work cut out for him. ULM has proven to be one of the toughest jobs in all of FBS as it has failed to win more than six games in a season since 2012.
