Report: Former Tennessee TE Jason Witten signs extension with Cowboys

According to Mike Fisher of 105.3 The Fan in Dallas, former Volunteer and current Cowboy tight end Jason Witten has signed a four-year extension with the team:

This extension will likely keep the soon-to-be 35-year-old Witten a Cowboy for the remainder of his career. Witten, who was drafted by the Cowboys in 2003, will be signing his fourth extension with the team.
He has been the model of consistency since arriving in Dallas via a third-round pick, not missing a single game of his professional career after his rookie season. It’s safe to say that third-round investment has paid dividends, as Witten has made 10 Pro Bowls and four total NFL All-Pro teams.
The 6-foot-6 Tennessean also has multiple NFL and team records, such as most receptions by an NFL TE in a season (103 in 2012) and in a game (18). He is the Cowboys career receptions leader at 1,089 and is only 16 yards short of the franchise’s all-time receiving yards record, one that he is sure to break next season now that a deal is in place.
While at Tennessee, Witten made a consensus All-SEC selection in 2002 by leading all TEs in the conference in catches, receiving yards, and touchdowns.
