Stanford running backs coach Lance Taylor has been tabbed to replace Tony Ball as Georgia’s wide receivers coach, first reported by the AJC.
Another media outlet, Football Scoop, is reporting that Taylor to Georgia is not a done deal:
Update at Georgia: Stanford RBs coach Lance Taylor will not be leaving for the UGA WR job http://t.co/IkvvbhPFQo

Taylor was a walk-on wideout at Alabama from 1999-03 and later became a member of Nick Saban’s coaching staff as a grad assistant in 2007-08.
Taylor has coached previously with Georgia offensive coordinator Brian Schottenheimer and DC Jeremy Pruitt. Schottenheimer and Taylor teamed up as assistants with the New York Jets, while his tie to Pruitt came in Tuscaloosa.
I have spent a lot of time with Lance Taylor while at the Panthers and Jets. If reports legit, that is a MONSTER hire for UGA at WR Coach.

Ball will coach the wideouts at LSU next season.
