Clarion-Ledger Ole Miss beat writer Antonio Morales said on Wednesday that former Arkansas and Ole Miss head coach Houston Nutt’s lawsuit against the University of Mississippi and its athletic foundation has been re-filed — this time in state court.

Nutt, who originally sued Ole Miss in July in federal court, said he never intended to get former Ole Miss head coach Hugh Freeze fired, though his involvement in the lawsuit the first time led directly to the exposure of Freeze’s calls to escort services.

“Story to come, but Houston Nutt’s lawsuit against Ole Miss, its athletic foundation and the IHL Board of Trustees was re-filed in state court this morning,” Morales posted on Twitter Wednesday afternoon.

The federal lawsuit filed in July, which was thrown dismissed, claimed Ole Miss broke the terms of severance agreement with the former head coach when when athletics officials attempted to pin NCAA violations on Nutt.

It looks like Nutt isn’t done going after Ole Miss.
