It’s shaping up to be a busy weekend for Jalen Hurts.

Earlier Friday, it was reported that he will be visiting Miami on Sunday. Hurricanes coaches, however, won’t be the first staff making its pitch to the Alabama graduate.

Inside Maryland Sports reports that Hurts is visiting Maryland this weekend beginning today. The Terrapins were among the early favorites to land Hurts due to the quarterback’s familiarity with head coach Mike Locksley, who was on staff at Alabama during Hurts’ three seasons with the team (2016-18). Locksley will almost certainly try to get a commitment from Hurts and have the quarterback cancel the trip to Coral Gables.

College football fans everywhere will be closely following Hurts’ recruitment. He will be immediately eligible to play in 2019 after graduating from Alabama in December. It was revealed Wednesday that he entered his name into the NCAA transfer portal.
