For months now, #Grumors have been flying about Monday Night Football analyst Jon Gruden.

After being heavily linked to the Tennessee job, nothing ever materialized, but that didn’t stop his name from being brought up when it was time for NFL coaching rumors to start up.

However, it appears Gruden will actually leave the broadcast booth next season and return to the sidelines, as Steve Corkran reports the Oakland Raiders plan to announce Gruden as head coach on Tuesday:

Gruden, of course, coached with the Raiders from 1998 to 2001 before leaving for Tampa Bay in 2002 and winning a Super Bowl with the Buccaneers the following year.

However, during his time in Oakland, he compiled an impressive 38-26 record. Will he be able to find more success this time around? That remains to be seen, but it sounds like the Raiders are excited to have their man.
