Entering his fourth year with the team, the redshirt junior was struggling to find playing time and will pursue opportunities elsewhere. He didn’t see the field much during his time in Lexington, only recording 10 total tackles across three games of action.
Walker was rated as a three-star recruit as part of the 2014 class, which also included Matt Elam and Drew Barker.
Kentucky is fairly deep at linebacker, with many starters returning from last season including Courtney Love, Josh Allen, and Jordan Jones. Though Walker will have to sit out a year of eligibility if he stays in division one, it appears that he will find more opportunity elsewhere.
