If there were any doubts whether LSU junior running back Leonard Fournette was going to play against Wisconsin in the Sept. 3 season opener after suffering a sprained ankle in practice, the man himself just put any of those thoughts to rest.
According to Ross Dellenger of The Advocate, Fournette said Thursday he would play against the Badgers:
Fournette says he'll be ready for Wisconsin. Unsure when he'll return to practice. #LSU

LSU head coach Les Miles revealed his star runner had gotten rolled up on during a recent scrimmage Tuesday. Miles also said Fournette would be seen wearing a boot following the ‘slight’ injury. While the boot could be cause for concern, during fall camp those things are handed out like candy by training staffs.
The injury of course bought up the question of whether Fournette should sit out the season to rest for the NFL, something the junior himself has never said he would even consider.
The LSU-Wisconsin game from Lambeau Field was recently officially named as the game set to host College GameDay during the loaded Week 1 college football slate.
