With several open head coaching positions around college football, it’s seemingly only a matter of time until former LSU coach Les Miles lands a new gig.

According to an ESPN report, Miles will interview for the open Houston job, which Tom Herman left when he landed the same position at Texas:

“Les Miles has always recruited Texas and has friends in Houston,” a source said. “It could be what Miles is looking for.”

Among the other candidates expected to interview with the Cougars are Alabama offensive coordinator Lane Kiffin and former Baylor coach Art Briles.

Briles, who was Houston’s head coach from 2003 to 2007, may have an inside track due to his experience at the school, but Miles and Kiffin have less baggage associated with their names at this point.
