Report: LSU gets visit from TE transfer Thaddeus Moss, son of Randy Moss

LSU head coach Ed Orgeron is certainly persuasive, landing a seventh-ranked recruiting class in his first recruiting cycle in Baton Rouge and then securing highly coveted Texas Tech transfer Breiden Fehoko last week. Now he will turn his focus on another transfer, this time one with NFL heritage.

Thaddeus Moss, son of six-time Pro Bowler Randy Moss, was a three-star TE recruit according to 247Sports before committing to NC State out of high school. The 6-foot-3, 240-pound prospect was the No. 18 TE and No. 395 overall player in the 2016 recruiting class.

According to Shea Dixon of Geaux247, Moss is being recruited by LSU and will be visiting the Baton Rouge campus this weekend to take in the Tigers’ spring game. His freshman season in Raleigh was solid, making three starts with six receptions for 49 yards and one touchdown.

Still, he felt better opportunities could be found elsewhere, as he released the following statement announcing his decision to leave NC State on Twitter:
