Good news for Donavaughn Campbell, his legal troubles appear to be behind him.
With his legal situation now dealt with, the LSU lineman can now focus his full attention on potentially earning a starting spot on the Tigers offensive line. Campbell was arrested back in 2016 following a fighting incident on Georgia Tech’s campus.
According to Ross Dellenger of The Advocate, Campbell agreed to a plea deal recently that will put him on probation for a year and ask him to complete 100 hours of community service and complete anger management course, among other duties.
Rated as a top 150 overall prospect in the nation in the 2016 recruiting cycle, Campbell was a four-star prospect and Louisiana’s most highly regarded offensive lineman. He has made only five appearances for LSU in two seasons but with the losses suffered by the Tigers this offseason, he has an opportunity to earn significant playing time up front for the team in 2018.
