The SEC has announced Mississippi State will head to Florida for the TaxSlayer Bowl, the MSU defense should be excited to play in this one.
College football insider Brett McMurphy was the first to break the news that Mississippi State would play Louisville in the TaxSlayer Bowl on Saturday, December 30. The game will kickoff at 12:00 pm ET and will be televised on ESPN.
The Bulldogs’ defense will be pitted against one of the top players in college football and reigning Heisman Trophy winner in QB Lamar Jackson. Head coach Bobby Petrino has also been known to dial up the offense, too.
Nonetheless, it’s an exciting matchup for the Bulldogs, although QB Nick Fitzgerald will not play. MSU hired Penn State OC Joe Moorhead as its next head coach to replace the departed Dan Mullen.
