Report: Mississippi State players test positive for coronavirus

Mississippi State is the latest SEC school to have football players test positive for coronavirus.
The news of 4 positive tests for COVID-19 comes via a new report from Paul Jones of 247Sports. According to Jones, sources said that none of the 4 players showed symptoms. Jones reports 70-75 players have been tested.
As with the reports of positive tests at other schools, including Alabama, Auburn and Texas A&M, details are scarce. Per Jones, these tests were part of players’ return to campus for voluntary workouts. All 4 will have to quarantine for 14 days from the positive test date.
While the program certainly does not want to see an on-campus outbreak, which, among other concerns, would disrupt workout plans, it is probably best for these players to learn of positive tests in early June and on MSU campus where they can be monitored by school health officials.
