With the season winding down for a number of college football teams, bowl invitations are starting to be issued. And several Group of 5 teams are apparently set to have their assignments unveiled.
According to Stadium’s Brett McMurphy, the matchups have been decided for the Idaho Bowl and New Mexico Bowl. In the Idaho Bowl, Nevada will reportedly take on Tulane. Meanwhile, Hawaii will reportedly face Houston at Toyota Stadium in Frisco, Tex., the temporary venue for the New Mexico Bowl this year.
A pair of Sun Belt teams also are set to learn their postseason destinations as well. According to McMurphy, Appalachian State will play in the Myrtle Beach Bowl while Georgia State will travel to Mobile, Ala. for the LendingTree Bowl. No opponent has been reported yet for the Myrtle Beach Bowl, but it will be either a Conference USA or MAC team. Georgia State is set to take on a MAC team itself in the LendingTree Bowl.
