Alabama QB Jalen Hurts’s name is now in the NCAA transfer portal, and that means he’s likely being contact by a number of top programs around the country.

Now, a new team has reportedly entered the mix, and it would certainly be an interesting fit for the talented dual-threat quarterback.

Per a report from 247Sports, Washington State has gotten involved in the Hurts sweepstakes, expressing interest in landing the junior:

Washington State is the latest program believed to have entered the hunt for Alabama’s junior quarterback, who could be on the move as a graduate transfer for his final campaign in 2019 after entering the NCAA’s transfer portal earlier this week.

Washington State had success with graduate transfer QB Gardner Minshew in 2018, so it would be interesting to see how Hurts fit into Mike Leach’s system.

The Air Raid style Leach prefers may have to change a bit to fit Hurts’s skill set, but Leach is a great offensive mind, so don’t count the Cougars out in the quest to land Hurts for 2019.
