Former Michigan State punter Mike Sadler was not impaired at the time he and Nebraska punter Sam Foltz were killed in a single-vehicle accident over the summer, according to the toxicology report.

Per The Associated Press, the report showed Sadler had a blood-alcohol content of 0.03 (the legal limit for driving is .08) and a low level of amphetamines in his blood. Waukesha County District Attorney Susan Opper said yesterday there was “nothing remarkable” about the report.

Sadler lost control of his vehicle and struck a tree, thus causing the car to burst into flames. He and Foltz died at the scene; the other passenger, LSU kicker Colby Delahoussaye, survived the accident and was treated for second-degree burns.

The three were in Wisconsin to work at a kicking camp.

Earlier this season, College GameDay had a segment this morning to honor and tribut Sadler and Foltz, as Delahoussaye continues to carry their legacies on and off the field. You can watch that touching video here.
