Denver Nuggets forward Michael Porter Jr. appears in line for a massive pay raise.

ESPN basketball reporter Adrian Wojnarowski is reporting that the former Missouri player has come to terms on a 5-year contract extension. The agreement was revealed to Wojnarowski by Mark Bartelstein, Porter’s agent.

According to Wojnarowski, the extension is worth $172 million. However, if Porter is named to an All-NBA team after the 2021-22 season, it will be worth $207 million.

The 14th overall pick in the 2018 NBA Draft, Porter played in 1 game in his rookie season due to back injuries. He debuted the next season and mainly came in off the bench.

In the 2020-21 campaign, he blossomed into a reliable scorer for Denver, averaging 19.0 starts in 54 starts in 61 games, including a 44.5 percent mark from 3-point range.

Denver was 47-25 in the 2020-21 season, falling 4 games to 0 to the Phoenix Suns in the Western Conference Semifinals.
