Oklahoma continues to receive more bad news ahead of the Peach Bowl.

Multiple outlets are reporting that starting safety Delarrin Turner-Yell has sustained a broken collar bone that will keep him sidelined on Dec. 28.

Turner-Yell is Oklahoma’s second-leading tackler this season with 75 total tackles, including 5.5 for loss. He also has recorded three passes defended and a forced fumble. Per Sooner Scoop, Justin Broiles will start in Turner-Yell’s place. The sophomore safety has played in all 13 games, recording 15 total tackles, including a TFL against Texas. He also recorded a pass breakup against UCLA.

As if facing Joe Burrow and the LSU offense isn’t already difficult at full strength, Sooner Scoop reported earlier this week that Ronnie Perkins, OU’s sack leader (6), is one of three Sooners players suspended for the game.
