With so many coaching changes, plenty of assistants are finding new gigs. College football insider Bruce Feldman is reporting that an Ole Miss assistant is heading to the Sun Belt to be a coordinator.

Rebels wide receiver coach Jacob Peeler will reportedly become the new offensive coordinator at Texas State. The move reunites Peeler with Jake Spavital. The former Texas A&M offensive coordinator was on staff at Cal in 2016 with Peeler.

Peeler joined the Ole Miss staff in 2017 after coaching at Cal as the inside receivers coach. He came up with the “Nasty Wide Outs (nWo)” nickname for Rebels wide receivers during his time in Oxford. (In fact, his Twitter handle is @NastyWideOuts.)
