Ole Miss is still dealing with a number of NCAA sanctions, but one Rebels booster has been reinstated by the university.

According to Davis Potter with The Oxford Eagle, Terry Warren has been reinstated by Ole Miss pending an official appeal of allegations to the NCAA. Warren is the owner of the Rebel Rags shop in Oxford and was identified as Booster No. 5 in the NCAA’s recent investigation at Ole Miss.

According to Potter, Rebel Rags was accused of providing approximately $2,800 of free merchandise to recruits and their families. Warren has since sued the accusers for defamation, and he continues to fight the claims and allegations.

For now, Warren will be fully reinstated until a final verdict is reached on the allegations through the appeals process. Charles Merkel Jr., Warren’s attorney, said he and his client are pleased with the decision:

“We are very pleased with it of course,” Merkel said. “Something like this that has not been finally confirmed or adjudicated, there’s no basis on Earth for (Warren) to be disassociated for the pendency of that appeal.”
