Report: Second NFL coach of the 2020 season set to be fired

Another NFL head coach is reportedly going to be out of a job soon.
Jeff Schultz of The Athletic shared the following on Twitter, “The Falcons’ firing of Dan Quinn has been all but finalized and an announcement could come Monday or Tuesday, a source told The Athletic. The Falcons have started 0-5 for the first time since 1997 and Quinn is 14-23 since 2018.”
The news of Quinn’s dismissal comes after the Atlanta lost 23-16 to division rival Carolina.
Quinn started coaching in 1994, making his debut as defensive line coach at William & Mary. Since 2001, he has spent most of his time in the NFL. After years of experience as a defensive assistant, he became the Atlanta Falcons head coach in 2015.
Quinn has ties to the SEC. He worked on Nick Saban’s Miami Dolphins staff in 2005 and ’06 as defensive line coach. In 2011, Quinn came to Florida as Will Muschamp’s defensive coordinator and defensive line coach, positions he held through the 2012 season.
The Houston Texans fired Bill O’Brien earlier this month.
