Report: Smart announces suspension length of sophomore DL Jonathan Ledbetter
Sophomore defensive lineman Jonathan Ledbetter has not gotten off to the greatest start with his new head coach. A week after news of his arrest for DUI became public knowledge, Ledbetter has reportedly been suspended at least two games by Kirby Smart.
Chris Low of ESPN tweeted out Monday evening that Ledbetter would miss both the North Carolina and Nicholls State games, and possibly more:
Smart said DL Jonathan Ledbetter would be suspended for at least 2 games and hinted it could be more. Depth in DL is Smart's big concern.

During his freshman campaign, Ledbetter played in seven games and made four tackles for the Bulldogs.
Of the 10 defensive lineman currently on the Dawgs’ roster, only one, junior nose tackle John Atkins, is an upperclassmen. The other nine players are all freshmen or sophomores, as alluded to Low’s mentioning of the defensive line depth issues facing Smart in his first season in Athens.
