The Mississippi State Bulldogs will go into the TaxSlayer Bowl without injured star QB Nick Fitzgerald due to an ankle injury he suffered during the Egg Bowl loss to Ole Miss.
However, backup QB Keytaon Thompson will catch a bit of a break, as a star Louisville defender has decided to skip the bowl game.
According to reporter Bruce Feldman, CB Jaire Alexander is going to enter the 2018 NFL Draft and will not play against Mississippi State on Dec. 30:

Alexander has only one interception this year in six games, but is still widely considered one of the best cornerback prospects entering the draft.
The Bulldogs will take on the Cardinals on Saturday, Dec. 30. The game kicks off at 12 p.m. Eastern time and can be seen on ESPN.
