Report: Tennessee DB receives probation, other punishment for March altercation with police officer

Back in March, Tennessee DB Kenneth George Jr. was arrested in Miami Beach for allegedly punching a police officer and fleeing the scene.
On Monday, he pleaded guilty to a third-degree felony charge of battery of a police officer and a first-degree misdemeanor for resisting an officer without violence.
On Thursday, George received his punishment from the court, per KnoxNews.com:
George was sentenced to one year of probation with no special conditions, Terry Gonzalez-Chavez, a spokesperson for the Miami-Dade state attorney’s office, confirmed to the News Sentinel. He also received a $1,125 fine. George can have his probation considered for early termination after six months, at the court’s discretion.
George is a junior on the team. He played for the Vols last year, too, after transferring from Trinity Valley Community College.
