The Tennessee Volunteers are a mess right now and can’t stay out of their own way.

On Tuesday, it was reported that Jarrett Guarantano would make his first-career start at quarterback against South Carolina this week, which led to reports that displaced starter Quinten Dormady was contemplating his future with the team.

However, Dormady hasn’t made a decision to transfer or leave the program as of yet, as he was present for the Vols’ Tuesday practice:

Dormady and coach Butch Jones will both likely be asked about Tuesday’s stories at their next media session, so it’ll be interesting to see what they say.

For now, at least, Dormady is still a member of the Tennessee program, where he’ll be on the sideline watching Guarantano making his first start on Saturday.
