LSU offensive lineman Ed Ingram, who has been suspended indefinitely since Aug. 2 following his arrest for two charges of aggravated sexual assault, has been indicted by a Texas grand jury, according to a report from The Baton Rouge Advocate.
Ingram’s first court date is set for Nov. 20. The DeSoto, Texas, native did not testify in last Friday’s hearing to determine if the Dallas County District Attorney’s Office was armed with enough evidence to bring Ingram to trial.
So far, Tigers coach Ed Orgeron has declined comment because Ingram’s case is an ongoing legal matter.
Ingram started at right guard in 12 games last year and appeared in the other. A slew of injuries has turned LSU’s offensive line into a revolving door this season, and it doesn’t appear that Ingram will be back to bolster the unit any time soon, if ever.
