After six years working under Alabama Director of Strength and Conditioning Scott Cochran, Hocke left to take the strength coach job at Georgia for the 2015 season. Despite his familiarity with Georgia coach Kirby Smart from working together at Alabama, Hocke was not retained at UGA when Smart succeeded Mark Richt. UGA hired Scott Sinclair from Marshall to replace Hocke in 2016.
