Texas A&M and Miami are looking to revive their home-and-home series in the coming years, according to a report by the Miami Herald.

Sources told the Herald’s Barry Jackson that the Aggies and Hurricanes are finalizing a deal to play a home-and-home series in 2022 and 2023. Both games would be season openers.

The teams last met in 2007 and 2008.  Current Florida co-defensive coordinator Randy Shannon was the Hurricanes coach for both contests, notching wins over Dennis Franchione (’07) and Mike Sherman (’08).

UM has two other SEC season openers on tap: LSU in Arlington, Texas for 2018 and Florida in Orlando for 2019.
