There will be three less offensive players at Auburn’s disposal for Saturday’s opener.

That’s according to AL.com’s James Crepea, who reports quarterback Sean White, running back Kamryn Pettway and wide receiver Kyle Davis won’t play against Georgia Southern, per a school official.

Pettway and Davis were both projected starters, while White was set to back up Jarrett Stidham at quarterback.

A fourth-year junior, Pettway led the SEC in rushing yards per game last season at 122.4. With Pettway unavailable, Kerryon Johnson will likely get the starting nod in the backfield.

Davis, a sophomore, caught 12 passes for 248 yards and two touchdowns last season. Prior to kickoff, Auburn announced Darius Slayton, Nate Craig-Myers, Eli Stove and Ryan Davis would start at the receiver positions.

Given White’s unavailability, the Tigers might turn to true freshman Malik Willis if Stidham doesn’t play the entire game.

Kickoff at Jordan-Hare Stadium is set for 7:30 p.m. ET.
