Georgia rising defensive coordinator Jeremy Pruitt has “zero chance” to be retained by the Bulldogs, according to NFL.com’s Chase Goodbread, who also covers college football for the site.

This report falls in line with a previous one by Chip Towers of Dawg Nation, which stated that Pruitt staying on at Georgia “is not expected to be a viable option” due to a conflict stemming from his reputation within the athletic department.

While Pruitt’s job status has been in jeopardy, numerous Bulldogs players have shown support for keeping Pruitt, and it’s safe to say his departure would have an impact on at least a few recruits, ones that are already committed and others the school is targeting.

Nonetheless, it seems as though there’s a good chance Smart will stay with the program through the season, according to Phil Savage.
