The NFL is just around the corner, and Jadeveon Clowney remains a free agent. As the Sept. 10 kickoff game nears, it appears four teams are pursuing the former No. 1 pick out of South Carolina.

“I just spoke to a source close to Clowney and he’s currently weighting two sizable offers from both Saints and the Titans,” ESPN NFL insider Jeremy Fowler said Saturday on ‘SportsCenter,’ per 247Sports. “Both have made serious pushes. I’m told not to discount the Baltimore Ravens, who almost got something done with Clowney a couple weeks ago, but it’s really those two teams. They expect something to get done this weekend.

“It’s not imminent yet, but Clowney wants to get to work. He’s still got to get COVID-tested. He’s got to get a physical and they’re a week away from games, so it could get wrapped up here pretty soon.”

That isn’t the only Clowney Watch news. Pro Football Talk’s Mike Florio is reporting that Clowney has fired his agent Bus Cook. Clowney fired Cook last year and rehired him a few days later. Florio lists New Orleans, Tennessee and Seattle as teams interested in the former Gamecock. Clowney played for Seattle last year after his first five seasons with the Houston Texans.

One team’s interest can be confirmed. Clowney’s personal chef shared that she cooked for Saints coach Sean Payton.
