Reports: 5-star UGA QB commit Justin Fields’ senior season cut short due to injury

The nation’s top high school football player is done for the season.

Georgia class of 2018 commit Justin Fields, a 5-star dual threat quarterback prospect out of Kennesaw, Ga. (Harrison High School), reportedly has a broken finger.

Fields, who committed to UGA on Oct. 6, suffered the unfortunate right finger injury — on his throwing hand — in a game Thursday night.

Kirby Smart happened to be in attendance at that game.

Fields is rated as the nation’s No. 1 overall prospect according to the 247Sports Composite. He has had an impressive stat line thus far in his senior season, already racking up over 2,600 total yards and 36 touchdowns, as referenced below:
