Reports: Mississippi State expected to hire Pac-12 assistant as WRs coach

Mississippi State reportedly has its new receivers coach. Oregon wide receivers coach Michael Johnson has agreed to hold the same position on the Bulldogs staff according to multiple reports.
Johnson recently emerged as the lead candidate to fill the vacancy left by Luke Getsy’s departure. Getsy was MSU’s wide receivers coach and passing game coordinator last season. Reports indicate Johnson will be the wide receivers coach. It appears head coach Joe Moorhead has not yet made a decision on a passing game coordinator for 2019.
Johnson has been in coaching since 1997-98 with experience as an assistant in college (Oregon State, Oregon, UCLA) and the NFL (San Diego, Atlanta, Baltimore, San Francisco) as well as head coach of The King’s Academy (Sunnyvale, Calif.)
