Reports: Reuben Foster claimed on waivers by Washington Redskins

It didn’t take long for former Alabama LB Reuben Foster to find a new NFL home. The Washington Redskins have claimed the former San Francisco 49er who was released after a recent arrest in Tampa.
Foster’s career has been clouded by multiple off-field incidents during his young NFL career. This weekend’s arrest was apparently the last straw for the 49ers organization.
With the Redskins, Foster will be surrounded by seven other former Alabama players. Washington might be hoping some familiar faces help him get back on track off-the-field. If so, it’s a significant pickup for the team on the field considering Foster was a first-round pick in 2017.
The on-field impact may be on hold, however, if the NFL chooses to suspend Foster for the domestic violence arrest at the 49ers team hotel in Tampa.
Former 49ers’ LB Reuben Foster was claimed by the Washington Redskins, per source.
Now the question becomes whether or when the league will suspend him.
