Reuben Foster was a first-round pick by the San Francisco 49ers in the 2017 NFL Draft. But, injuries and off-the-field issues prevented him from living up to his potential in the NFL.
The former Alabama linebacker hasn’t played in the NFL since 2018, but on Sunday, NFL insider Ian Rapoport reported that Foster was getting another chance.
Per Rapoport, the Seattle Seahawks are bringing Foster in for a workout on Sunday:
Free agent LB Reuben Foster, hoping to kick-start his comeback after recovery from a major knee injury, has a workout today with the #Seahawks, source said. Foster hasn’t played since 2018, but the former #49ers and #Commanders LB has had several workouts. Another chance today.

Foster is coming off a major knee injury. The Seahawks need some help in their linebacker corps. We’ll see if anything comes out of this workout.
In 2 years with the 49ers, Foster appeared in 16 games, recording 101 tackles (10 for a loss) and 2 pass breakups. We’ll see if he can revive his career in Seattle.
