Report: Former Alabama LB Reuben Foster has surgery, won’t participate in NFL Combine drills

Ahead of March’s NFL Combine, former Alabama LB Reuben Foster had surgery on his right rotator cuff, according to ESPN NFL Insider Adam Caplan.
Former Alabama LB Reuben Foster recently had right rotator cuff surgery, a league source said. Teams were informed of the surgery.

Caplan also reported that Foster will miss the drills aspect of the NFL Combine on March 2-5, but he’ll attend and meet with teams.
Foster's projected recovery is about four months, which is well ahead of the start of training camps in July.

Foster, the top graded inside linebacker for many teams, will not be able to participate in drills during next month's NFL Combine.

However, Foster will meet with teams over the course of the week in Indianapolis.

The Butkus Award winner, given to the nation’s best linebacker, was an absolute animal over the course of his Alabama career, and he’ll be a top-round pick in this year’s NFL Draft.
From 2014 to 2016, Foster racked up 211 tackles for the Crimson Tide.
The NFL Draft starts April 27.
