The Denver Broncos and Los Angeles Rams played their 3rd and final preseason game of 2021 on Saturday, with the Broncos coming away with a 17-12 win.
This particular game was special for one particular reason as 4 former teammates at Missouri, including 3 on the Broncos’ roster, were on the sidelines. Of course, one was quarterback Drew Lock, who was 5-for-7 for 67 yards and a touchdown as he will be the backup to Teddy Bridgewater to start the season.
One of Lock’s targets at Mizzou is now a 2nd-year tight end with the Broncos: Albert Okwuegbunam, a 4th-round pick for the Broncos in 2020. Also on the Broncos roster is Lock’s former running back, Damarea Crockett, who signed a reserves/futures contract with the team in January.
On the sideline for the Rams was tight end Kendall Blanton, an undrafted free agent signee in May 2019.
The 4 were able to share a nice moment after the game. The Broncos and Rams won’t play each other in the regular season, so it was certainly a good reunion among former Tigers.
