Rick Neuheisel blasts Playoff committee for ignoring strength of schedule

Rick Neuheisel disapproves of the Playoff committee’s decisions for the first College Football Playoff ranking.
The committee gave Georgia and Michigan the No. 2 and No. 3 spots despite the 2 teams have somewhat of an easy schedule to this point. Georgia has played just one ranked team up to this point, and Michigan has not faced a ranked team.

Neuheisel believes the committee didn’t reward the teams that have had tough schedules, like Washington and Florida State, which are ranked No. 5 and No. 4, respectively.
“The other thing to notice is this committee doesn’t care about who you play,” Neuheisel said. “It just doesn’t matter. I mean both Georgia, who was supposed to play Oklahoma, and Michigan, who had UCLA on their schedule, no harm, no foul.”

The rankings will likely get a few major shake ups as the season goes on, and Georgia and Michigan have a chance to prove themselves with a tough November slate.
Georgia will face top-20 teams in 3 consecutive weeks, giving the Bulldogs a chance to solidify their spot in the top-4. Michigan will have to face Penn State and Ohio State before the end of the season.
