Ricky Pearsall is officially moving on to the NFL after the last 2 seasons with Florida.
Pearsall was the Gators’ leading wideout this year with 965 receiving yards, which was a career high for him. He also accounted for 6 total touchdowns.
The Florida receiver’s plans were revealed in a social media post. This has been a dream of Pearsall’s for a long time, ever since he was just kid in Arizona.
Pearsall thanked Gator fans the support in his farewell message.
“I reminisce all the time when I was young, this was a dream of mine. As a kid from Arizona, it’s been an unbelievable process. It’s been a true blessing to be given this opportunity to come here. I just want to thank Coach Napier and the entire staff for welcoming me right away.
“I always dreamed of being in the Orange and Blue. I remember looking in the mirror before games and being like, ‘Man, this is real.’ Gator fans, there’s nobody like them. I just wanna say thank you for having open arms right away. Forever a Gator.”
Thank you Lord for the countless blessings. Proud to say I put my blood, sweat, and tears into this program. Thank you to all of Gator Nation for having my back throughout my time here.
