Ricky Seals-Jones is heading to a new NFL team as of Wednesday. The former Texas A&M wideout last played for the New York Giants in 2022.

The Indianapolis Colts made the announcement from the team’s website. The team also signed veteran RB Jason Huntley.

Seals-Jones was not drafted in the 2017 NFL Draft. He ended up landing with the Arizona Cardinals as an undrafted free agent. He would decide to switch to tight end during training camp of his rookie year.

Seals-Jones played alongside Johnny Manziel at College Station. Manziel would go on to become the first ever freshman to win the Heisman. Seals-Jones attended Texas A&M from 2013-2016.

The Texas A&M product has also played for the Cleveland Browns (2019), Kansas City Chiefs (2020), and Washington Football Team (2021).

One of the better seasons of Seals-Jones’ career from a receiving yards standpoint was in 2018, his second season with the Cardinals. Seals-Jones caught 34 passes for 343 yards receiving and 1 touchdown.

Last season Seals-Jones spent the majority of the year with the Giants as a member of their practice squad.

It’s unclear if Seals-Jones will see the field or be more of a practice squad player for the Colts. It’ll be interesting to see how first-year HC Shane Steichen decides to use Seals-Jones.
