Kentucky picked up commitment No. 15 from Toledo, Ohio DT Cavon Butler on Friday.

Rated a 3-star prospect, the 6-3, 285-pound Butler is ranked the No. 38 recruit out of Ohio, No. 57 defensive tackle and No. 843 prospect overall. One recent scholarship offer, however, indicates Butler’s stock is on the rise.

Alabama extended Butler a scholarship offer on June 23 after the Whitmer product camped with the Crimson Tide. The Kentucky offer came three days later.

Butler announced his intention to become part of Big Blue Nation via his Twitter account.

Kentucky’s Composite class rankings are No. 12 in the SEC and No. 40 nationally. Butler’s announcement notes and highlights can be viewed below.
