RJ Young of Fox Sports released his updated weekly tier list sorting the upper echelon of college football Wednesday afternoon.
Young has Georgia in a world of its own at the top after downing No. 5 Tennessee (then ranked No. 1). The Vols fell to Tier 3 following that aforementioned loss. LSU, after defeating Alabama, is absent from his list.

Georgia has indeed declared itself the No. 1 team in the country. It has 2 wins over top 10 teams Oregon and Tennessee and has done so in dominant fashion. They seemed primed for a run at a repeat as far as things don’t take a turn for the worse.
Tennessee is in OK shape to make the Playoff, but definitely needs help. Oregon and TCU seem to be Tennessee’s biggest threats right now, as Georgia and the winner of the B1G are almost guaranteed locks.
