Robby Ashford and Auburn are cooking early. He’s off to a hot start on his 20th birthday against LSU.
Auburn leads 7-0 following this Ashford connection with Ja’Varrius Johnson for a 53-yard touchdown strike.
That didn’t take long.
How ’bout that for a fast start ?@robby_ashford → @varjohnson1 = ??#WarEagle? | ? https://t.co/U7vi00FOMH https://t.co/FHIMaZScc0 pic.twitter.com/kfr7A7Aj4F

A win for Auburn Saturday is just what the doctor ordered. There’s still a long, long way to go, but that’s a strong way to start on the journey towards 4-1.
And Ashford seems to be the guy to lead Auburn moving forward. He’s played well for the Tigers since taking over against Penn State – at least as well as anyone can expect a redshirt freshman to play against B1G and SEC opponents.
He grabbed a win over Mizzou last week. Let’s see if the Tigers can keep marching.
