Don’t look now.

Auburn still has a long way to go after falling into a 21-7 hole early against Alabama, but the Tigers are fighting. Robby Ashford just cut the deficit in half with a dot of a touchdown pass to Ja’Varrius Johnson. The Tigers now trail, 21-14 with under 10 minutes remaining in the first half.

Here’s Ashford’s throw. It’s hard to expect this ball to be put in a better place.

Ashford is already up to 2 touchdowns on the day, 1 passing and 1 rushing. He’s accounted for 60 yards and 1 touchdown on 8/10 completions with 49 rushing yards to boot.

Auburn is chasing bowl eligibility with a potential Iron Bowl win over the Crimson Tide. Lose and the Tigers finish the season 5-7.
