Key Alabama wide receiver Robert Foster was injured in an auto accident Saturday evening, according to BamaInsider.com.

Foster, the rising senior, was riding a dirt bike in the parking lot of the Mal M. Moore Athletic Facility when he was hit by a car. Sources told the site that Foster’s injuries required several stitches after suffering lacerations on his body. It’s unclear if he’ll miss any time due to the injuries suffered from the accident.

The former 5-star wide receiver has been waiting for his moment to shine in Tuscaloosa for a few different reasons — injuries being one, and after a breakout spring performance that saw him reel in two big catches for 115 yards and a touchdown, hopes are certainly high.

Foster should be a key cog in the Tide’s passing attack this year, and the 6-foot-2, 195-pound pass catcher looks ready to be an asset in Nick Saban’s and Brian Daboll’s offense.

Foster released photos on his Facebook account.

Foster also shared a video via Facebook, saying he received 27 stitches in his back and two in his wrist.
