Robert Griffin III thinks former Georgia star linebacker Nakobe Dean is the steal of the NFL Draft’s Day 2 action.

Dean, of course, was projected as a first-round pick, but he ended up plummeting to the middle of the third round and was eventually chosen by the Philadelphia Eagles. It was revealed that some teams were worried about an existing pec injury that Dean opted not to have surgery on.

Griffin, however, thinks Dean is going to have a big NFL career.

“When you look at Nakobe Dean, he was the best player on that Georgia defense because he was the leader of that defense,” Griffin said on ESPN. “I called him lean, mean and he wears No. 17. But if there were worries about his size and how he’ll translate to the NFL game, and I just think looking at him — if you have a problem with his size, then draft him behind Jordan Davis and put him behind Fletcher Cox and allow him to run sideline to sideline.

“I think that’s what Philly did, and I think Nakobe Dean is the steal of Day 2 of the draft.”

The Eagles ended up drafting former Georgia star Jordan Davis, too, and combined with Dean, Georgia fans will have every opportunity to embrace the Eagles.

Fast forward 10 years from now — how will Dean’s NFL Draft slide be viewed?
